Congratulations to the Newark Public Schools from Newark, New Jersey, for being selected to receive the eBoards of Excellence Award for their creative and innovative use of eBoard!

"In our district eBoards have made a difference in a variety of ways. Every one of our 76 schools has three eBoards, a Teacher eBoard, a Student eBoard and a Parent eBoard. In addition, eBoards have been developed to support the State standardized tests and the District's Novel Initiative. Also designed are eBoards used as portfolios, as virtual classrooms, as staff development tools and as focal points for specific projects. These eBoards have been instrumental in helping us meet our educational goals and objectives as outlined in our District's long range plans. Shared below is information related to our State Test eBoards."

Working cooperatively, student treasure hunters in nine different Newark schools embarked on an educational adventure which incorporated the social studies, literacy, math, and science curriculum as well as involved the use of several different technologies. eBoard was the tool that was used to manage the entire project.

Award Winner - South Huntington School District

eBoard Award eBoard brings excitement and vigor to the communication process in the South Huntington School District. It is used extensively as a 24/7 conduit of information between teachers, students, parents and administrators. Showcasing student projects, listing assignments and posting learning materials on eBoard provides an opportunity to share a student's day with their family. We are presently expanding our use of eBoard to explore new horizons such as posting podcasts of students reading their original stories and poetry, teachers recording spelling words in English and in Spanish for our Dual Language classes, and posting sound clips of musical rehearsals to enhance home learning opportunities.
