Ms. Leah Dazzo, Third Grade Teacher, Woodhull Elementary

Ms. Dazzo uses her eBoard as a resource for both students and their
parents. Ms. Dazzo explains the curriculum that students are
participating in and provides web sites for her students that help them
to reinforce concepts at home and master necessary skills. She
provides web sites for students as well as for parents to fully embrace
the home to school communication concept. Some things that you will
find on her eBoard are web sites, homework help, study skills, student
work, and even content area videos. Ms. Dazzo also utilizes the
calendar feature of eBoard to allow parents to have easy access to the
class schedule.
Mr. Steve Stengel, Business Teacher, William Floyd High

Mr. Stengel uses his eBoard as an instructional portal for his
business classes. All of Mr. Stengel's curriculum materials are loaded
to his eBoard and he hopes that his class can become paperless. Mr.
Stengel utilizes the archive tab on his eBoard to store notes that he
will need year to year. Mr. Stengel's eBoard has had 3934 hits since
September of this year.
Paca Middle School Team G, 8th Grade Team eBoard

The Paca Middle School has created eBoard as a team of teachers so
that the students and the parents go to one central eBoard to find out
information on all classes that they are involved in. Four or five
teachers work together to gather information for parents, resources
for students, and to use the eBoard as a central location to post
projects and assignments. These teachers from Team G also utilize the
calendar feature to post all important assignment due dates and
testing dates. Team G has had 6758 hits since September of this year.

This eBoard is used for the Educational Technology Staff Developers as
a central depository for all instructional technology lessons,
resources, updates, and newsletters. Teachers, students and parents
can find educational resources, links to district used programs, links
to professional development courses, newsletters, and highlights from
the classrooms.
AASL: National Library Award eBoard

This eBoard has been created and designed specially for the American
Association of School Librarians (AASL) committee to review the
William Floyd School District's Library Media Program. Items that
committee members are able to access through this eBoard include
welcome messages with the library department's mission statement along
with the district mission statement, individual librarians'
professional development activities, library media specialist job
description, links to each district library eBoard, links to New York
State learning standards and New York State curriculum resources,
Scope and Sequence for grades K-5, Scope and Sequence grades 6-12 and
a variety of library-based lessons K-12. There are also samples of
student work broken down by school and calendar of events for each
librarian.
